If a priest is available it is also good to finish the whole seminar with a celebratory Mass so adding another week to the actual seminar. Furthermore, when the group who are running the seminar formally finish and return to their normal practice of meeting it is good to begin those meetings with a session on commitment, thus bringing new members very much into the fold and leading them to be committed to the meeting. After this there should be teachings on growth in the Spirit, bible teachings, and programmes for evangelism.
In other words the Life in the Spirit seminar should not be an end in itself but should lead to other teachings and programmes that can draw beginners in the spiritual life into a much deeper relationship with God.
This seminar can be taught over a seven week period or one weekend. The weekend can be a touch intensive but can also make a tremendous retreat.
