This is a foundational seminar for those who want to study or read the bible but do not really understand the basic message of God's Word. The bible is about the covenants that God has established with mankind over the centuries since creation. In order to grasp a basic understanding of God's Word it is somewhat essential to understand the concept of covenant, once you have done this the pages of God's Word will unfold to you, as will your own faith and the celebration of the Eucharist. Virtually anybody can attend this seminar as it is good for people who have little faith due to its foundational aspect, but it is also excellent for those who have been practicing their faith for years but have not really got into the Word of God. Everybody from Non Catholics/Christians to committed lay people, priests and nuns have been on the covenant seminars and drawn a great deal from them.
Not too complicated for the beginner, not too simple for the experienced - God meets us wherever we are.
The two retreat weekends are usually done at the same place as the main event to same on expenses. It is considered essential to attend the weekends as the majority of teaching is done then. The retreats consist of a total of 14 sessions whereas the midweek teachings have only 10 sessions.
The seminar is called 'In the presence of the Glory of God' because as the participants enter into the Word of God in the power of the Spirit they will find themselves spending the ten weeks truly in the presence of God's glory. These are not just nice words either, it is the experience of many who have attended these bible seminars. God is completely faithful and when we read His Word with an open heart and a desire to convert He will meet with us in a way that we never imagined. In addition to the weekly evening sessions there are
two weekends with 7 sessions each (see opposite).
